Senior Documentation Specialist (Technical Writer)
Location: Arlington, VA
Requirements:
• Develop and maintain a full range of documentation for external and internal consumption including User Manuals, Training Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures and Quick Reference Guides
• Provide technical writing from program and operational documentation
• Gather, analyze and compose technical information
• Translate technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel
• Review content of technical documentation for quality
• Produce technical and scientific illustrations for presentations and/or publication, as appropriate to the requirement
• Provide documentation in presentation-ready quality output using advanced word processing or desktop publishing software
• Work with system engineers, testers, software developers, trainers and other program personnel to gather pertinent information and format it into usable manuals
• Create documentation templates, format content, and present information in a concise, understandable format
• Track document versions and revisions
• Incorporate review comments and corrections into existing documentation
• Assist program personnel with briefs, reports and other documents such as training materials, user manuals, test documents and installation procedures
Skills:
• Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Ability to interface effectively at all levels with the project team and organization, both internal and external to our client
• Effectively format/edit technical publications to include writing, editing and illustration
• Demonstrate proficiency in fundamentals or research writing and editing and the ability to produce a variety of written materials.
• Ability to create detailed data flow diagrams and graphics
• Experience using Adobe Flash and Dreamweaver
Experience:
• Minimum 7 years of technical writing experience preparing documents, reports, responses and briefings
• Three years experience with an intelligence agency
• Bachelor’s Degree in English, journalism, communications or a related field
Clearance: Active TS/SCI
Physical Security Specialist, supporting DEA
Location: Houston, TX
Requirements:
• Current Top Secret Clearance
• Some travel (less than one week per month)
• In depth knowledge of alarm and access control system
• In depth knowledge of physical security standards and construction methods
• Knowledge of locks and access control devices
• Familiarity of personnel security standards and criteria
• Ability to develop and maintain Crisis Management and Emergency Evacuation Plans
• Capable of working and thinking independently
• Self-starting and self-regulating individual required
• Will be directly responsible for the security of all DEA facilities within a geographic
area
• Able to obtain and retain DEA security clearance
